“In the 15 years I’ve been with Fraser Health, I’ve learned so much through job experience and my colleagues sharing their expertise. My supervisors have been very supportive in my role, and encourage taking vacation time, and making time for training and development. I value our regular team-meets for case conceptualization and team bonding. My position is dynamic and offers variety and flexibility, which contributes to my success in the role.
There is a lot of diversity in the areas I live and work, with many well-established neighbourhoods and the close proximity to the beautiful mountains. I enjoy the mild climate here – the temperature is relatively warmer year-round [than other parts of the country], allowing me to be able to do the things I love in my free time, like ice hockey, spending time with my family doing outdoor activities, and riding my motorcycle.”
Fraser Health is the heart of health care for over two million people in 20 diverse communities from Burnaby to Boston Bar on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Coast Salish and Nlaka’pamux Nations and is home to 32 First Nations within the Fraser Salish region.
Our hospital and community-based services are delivered by a team of 48,000+ staff, medical staff and volunteers dedicated to serving our patients, families and communities.
