“I am honoured to play a part in women’s health. Breast health is so important and there is no better way to ensure the well-being of your breasts except through regular mammograms.
I get to work with an incredible interprofessional team of doctors, specialists, nurses, technologists and support staff to provide the best possible care for our patients. Our dedicated team is incredibly good at what they do. We thrive on taking excellent images, providing personal and professional care for our patients, and taking good care of one another. I’ve never worked on a team that’s so supportive. My manager [has made this an exceptional place to work]. I’ve never worked for someone who cares for the well-being of every person on her team as much as she does. She creates a perfect balance with professional requirements and fair treatment. It’s truly a gift to work with her.
I’ve grown in my career by having the opportunity to take on a leadership role, too. Being in such a supportive environment has allowed me to really explore my leadership skills and grow alongside my team.We work hard here in medical imaging at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre – the work we do is really good work, and we get to work for and with some truly beautiful people. I wouldn’t trade it for any job and would love to have more wonderful people join us!”

“I love this area. I’ve lived [in nearby communities for] many years, and discovered how fabulous it is in Abbotsford [when moving here about a year ago]. It really is a city in the country; we have access to everything we need and we’re only minutes away from vacation hot spots. We take our little boat out every weekend in the summer and have so many options for gorgeous lakes to choose from. I can’t wait to explore them all! We’ve only been here a little over a year, and last summer was probably one of my favourite summers in many, many years.”
