Improved access to emergency and surgical services
In 2022, Peace Arch Hospital unveiled an expanded Emergency Department—more than doubling its size and increasing treatment spaces from 24 to 50. The new design included dedicated areas for pediatric and family care, enhancing comfort and accessibility for all patients.
Above the Emergency Department, a new surgical suite was added, featuring two additional operating rooms. The Medical Device Reprocessing department was also upgraded and relocated nearby, streamlining the sterilization process and improving surgical efficiency.
These enhancements now create a seamless connection between emergency services, surgical care, and equipment sterilization.
