Employees trained in fields for redeployment to areas in pandemic response, employees transitioning to work-from-home where possible, people hired from non-traditional labour pools to fill roles like contact tracers and more. These are a few of the shifts within our organization that have helped us to continue providing care to over 1.9 million people in British Columbia.
Our leaders have initiated these shifts and so much more, all while supporting and honouring our more than 40,000 staff and medical staff who deliver health care to our communities.
Fraser Health has been focused on delivering employee wellness programs, which include ample wellness resources for employees.
“It is imperative for us to take care of our people. To provide the best health care possible, we need to be taking care of our staff and medical staff so they can take care of our patients, residents and clients”.
- Cameron Brine, Vice President, Employee Experience
In 2019, the Talent Development team was formed to support succession planning, providing targeted coaching and development support to leaders across the organization to empower and equip them for the next role.
“Fraser Health’s commitment to keeping staff and patients safe, valued, and heard makes me proud to be part of one of BC’s largest health authorities. Transparency and clear communications from leaders and the CEO helps to keep staff informed of new policies and procedures, while promoting a work-life balance,” describes Shelly, Infection Prevention and Control Specialist.
