“I am proud of the amazing team I work with. No matter the situation, we always have each other’s backs. Throughout all our challenges, we are always able to take care of our patients and help each other out.
During my time working in the Surrey Memorial Pediatric Emergency Department I have become a more confident nurse. I have had many great learning opportunities and [get to] work with knowledgeable and supportive staff, which has allowed me to develop a stronger knowledge base in emergency pediatric medicine.
We work in a busy department, so making it through each shift is an achievement. Despite how busy we get, the team continues to remain positive and work hard to deliver the best care possible to our patients. Our team is unique in the sense that pediatric emergency is a very specialized field. It combines two specialties into one.”
