“I joined the team at Burnaby Hospital in February 2025 as a registered nurse working in a transition line in the Emergency Department.
In my role, I am responsible for caring for patients with acute medical or surgical conditions, and escalating care for them when they need it. I work closely with the emergency teams to ensure patients receive the best possible care and that they have a positive experience during their visit or hospitalization.”
Bright futures at Burnaby Hospital
“With the Burnaby Hospital redevelopment, [I’m looking forward to working in] more modernized spaces that are fully equipped for health professionals to continue to provide the best possible patient care for the growing community, including the new Zone 5 for patients experiencing mental health and substance use issues.”
Living in the area
“I like the easy access to public transportation here which makes it easier for people to access resources in the area. I also really enjoy the weather here. I love to hang out with my friends and family – we cook, eat and watch moves together, and I enjoy meditation and taking nature walks along the dyke near where I live – it helps me relax and re-energize.”
