I love supporting innovative projects that are bringing technology to improve people’s access to health care. Our team’s work is challenging but so rewarding! I love being surrounded by people who take on these challenges while always considering how what we do will impact patients and their access to health care services. It’s great to be part of a team that “walks the talk” and truly cares not only about improving patients experiences but also that of their staff.

As an evaluator, it is very motivating to work with a team that is so committed to using evidence to inform their decisions and programs. Our team thinks about evaluation and how to learn from patients’ voices at the early stages of every project.

Fraser Health has offered me an opportunity to conduct evaluation projects of the COVID-19 response and gain enough experience to acquire my Credentialed Evaluator Designation. I’ve also developed my capacity building skills by supporting and coaching others conducting evaluations and chairing a capacity building group of professionals from across our organization. I was recently promoted to Evaluation Lead of Virtual Health where I continue to use these skills to enhance evaluation activities and inform the expansion of Virtual Care in Fraser Health.

Having the ability to work remotely helps me maintain the type of work-life balance that suits my needs. I am grateful to have a great supervisor that checks in regularly and supports me. And despite working remotely, our regular check-ins and supportive culture have made me feel welcome and like I belong to the team.
