As a physiotherapist on an acute medical unit and with the Acute Care of the Elderly unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre (ARHCC), I have found my job to be very rewarding.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is working with a cohesive and supportive team. I work with many dedicated people who are passionate about helping patients regain their mobility and independence. I have been fortunate enough to work with some truly talented physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other health care professionals who make my job not only enjoyable, but incredibly fulfilling.

Another aspect of my job that I find rewarding is the opportunity to teach and mentor students. Being able to pass on my knowledge and experience to the next generation of health care professionals is an incredible feeling. It’s always rewarding to see students grow and develop their skills, and it’s a privilege to be a part of their journey towards becoming successful physiotherapists or rehabilitation assistants.

I also appreciate that I am continually learning from other team members on a daily basis. Working in such a dynamic environment, I have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, and I am always learning something new. It’s special to be a part of a bigger team where peer-learning is valued and fostered.

My experience on the team in Abbotsford has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I feel privileged to be a part of such a dedicated and compassionate health care team, and I am proud to provide high-quality care to our patients.
