What I love most about working as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster is that I have the opportunity to help people during a challenging time in their lives. I have worked at various sites within the Fraser Health region over the past 15 years, all with diverse environments, staff and cultures. These experiences have helped me grow to be become a more flexible, compassionate and caring person.
I feel grateful to work with a hardworking team. We support each other through complex cases and help each other grow both personally and professionally. I know I can always connect with my managers about my schedule and availability that will help to create a balance for the unit and my personal life. Having the flexible shift options really helps accommodate my family’s schedule.
Living and working in the Fraser Health region, we are centrally located with access to public transportation to take a trip into the city.  I love all what the region has to offer, including the beautiful hiking trails, breathtaking running dikes, friendly people and lots of activities for my kids. When I’m not working, I enjoy running, spending time with family and being of service to others.
