Working as speech language pathologist (SLP) at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre has been incredibly rewarding. Our clinical lead has created a team culture rooted in authentic care for our patients, their families, each other as colleagues and as individuals. Whether it’s walking around Mill Lake Park at lunch, sharing meals or connecting after work, there’s a real sense of community here. We show up for each other, celebrate wins and support one another through the tough days.
Clinically, we’re empowered to work at the top of our scope with access to instrumental assessments like Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). Professional growth and evidence-based practice are priorities, mentorship is ongoing, advanced competencies are supported and learning is tailored to each clinician’s strengths and style. We collaborate often, especially on complex cases and the diversity of our patient population keeps the work engaging and meaningful.
Our strong interdisciplinary relationships across allied heath, nursing and medical staff make this an environment where you can genuinely thrive. If you’re looking for a team that values growth, connection and excellent patient care, this is the place. Join our team!
