“I love to be directly involved in improving and implementing systems that have a lasting impact on our patients, providers, and staff. Knowing the technology contributes to the patient experience and overall quality of care is my way of participating in meaningful work that serves others.

My team supports user access and provisioning in the Meditech Advance transition. We have recently implemented a role-based access control model that provides enhanced security of information and access while improving the access provisioning activities of user accounts in our health authority. This is a great example of what makes our work so special! We get to research, design, build, and implement the systems and structures that will set the standard and support the use of clinical applications.

My leaders always help to facilitate personal and professional growth. They encourage me to attend internal courses and workshops, as well as support formal educational goals through mentorship, support and opportunities to help put my learning into practice. Through these project and work opportunities, I was recently able to complete my PMP (project management professional) certification.

Living and working within the Fraser Valley is like waking up to a gift every morning – we really do get all four seasons! From the trails that lead to the rivers and lakes, to the hustle and bustle of city life – Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley are a crossroad where all types of living intersect. I love being able to set out on an adventure! Things like kayaking, walks with our dog through farmland, trails and along the rivers – or a quick trip out to the city for shopping, concerts, not to mention the many craft breweries and wineries nearby – I love the flexibility.”
