As a site coordinator on the medical imaging team, my role involves overseeing the operations of the department and ensuring a safe environment for our patients.
Medical imaging sees patients with varying acuity through the emergency room, inpatient, outpatient or through walk-ins. Our team plays a crucial role in treatment and diagnoses by performing imaging studies such as X-ray, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and echocardiograms.
While health care can be fast-paced and challenging at times, it is also very rewarding and fulfilling. I love working in a team environment and being a part of helping patients navigate their health journey.
Working at Eagle Ridge Hospital (ERH) – a smaller community site – the medical imaging department is very close-knit and caring, with a family-feel to the team. Everyone knows each other and is always willing to support one another both professionally and personally
Fraser Health is the heart of health care for over two million people in 20 diverse communities from Burnaby to Boston Bar on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Coast Salish and Nlaka’pamux Nations and is home to 32 First Nations within the Fraser Salish region.
Our hospital and community-based services are delivered by a team of 48,000+ staff, medical staff and volunteers dedicated to serving our patients, families and communities.
