Every new program starts with people who are passionate about improving patient care. Meet Daniel, a respiratory therapist at Eagle Ridge Hospital and one of the team members helping to build Fraser Health’s newest respiratory therapy-led program.
Working alongside respirologists, nurses and physicians to provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy services, allowing patients in the Tri-Cities community to receive specialized respiratory care, closer to home.
Daniel shares, “What I enjoy the most is the opportunity to help shape a growing program from the ground up. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to collaborate with an expanding multidisciplinary team and the chance to work with some of the most advanced bronchoscopy technology available in British Columbia—all while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients.”
Supported by the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, the Bronchoscopy Program features British Columbia’s first Olympus 4K patient monitoring and diagnostic display technology, as well as the province’s first Sonosite LX ultrasound system with voice-activated functionality to support pleural procedures.
