MedPower Frequently Asked Questions
MedPower is the learning management system for all MEDITECH Expanse training.
Students and Instructors are registered into MedPower using their academic email address provided in HSPnet. Students and instructors will receive their enrollment information 28 days prior to their placement start date. All instructions will be provided through the individual’s academic email. Please ensure the correct email address is in HSPnet.
MedPower frequently asked questions
If you have previously met full completion requirements on LearningHub, you have been granted credit for the equivalent learning path on MedPower. However, if your upcoming rotation requires additional training, you will need to complete the additional learning path on MedPower. For example, if you completed the Advanced Curriculum – Nursing (Emergency) on LearningHub, but your upcoming rotation is at RCH 5N Medicine, you will need to finish the Nurse – Direct Care (PCS) learning path on MedPower.
Users who started in a Curriculum on Learning Hub, but did not meet full completion requirements within the Curriculum may not be given partial credits. The MedPower Learning Path are not identical to the Learning Hub curricula, a number of enhancements have been made to support you in delivering better patient care.
You can begin your MedPower training as soon as you receive the invitation. Invitations for training are sent 28 days prior to placement start date.
It is recommended to begin training and sign up for classroom (if required) as soon as you are invited to prevent delayed access.
You will receive a new invitation for the Learning Path appropriate to your new placement location.
Access can take 2-5 business days, make sure to complete in time for clinical practice.
Look at your emails, if you did not receive a certificate of completion, you have not completed all the required training:
- Go back into the course and complete any outstanding modules.
Go back into the incomplete module – ensure all steps were followed fully (no skipped steps).
- You will need to follow the steps as indicated by the MedPower team in your PSI email.
- You may need to complete additional modules depending on your site, unit, and designation.
Completed classroom courses will not need to be redone.
Any FHA employee practicing as a student or instructor will receive invitations to MedPower learning as needed for their current PSI placement, role and program.
If you receive an email invitation to attend training, you must follow the steps to sign in and proceed through any required modules.
