Protect yourself from recruitment and employment scams

Take precautions when responding to recruitment messages

Fraser Health is aware of suspected fraudulent recruitment activity involving individuals impersonating Fraser Health recruiters or representatives. These scams may use real names, LinkedIn profiles, company branding and legitimate job postings to appear credible.

Scammers may also use other methods or platforms. You should remain cautious and verify any unexpected recruitment communication before taking action.

Please remember that Fraser Health will never ask candidates or jobseekers for money, fees, gift cards or equipment purchases at any stage of the recruitment process.

How to verify communication is legitimate

  • Apply through the official Fraser Health careers website: careers.fraserhealth.ca
  • Verify that unexpected email communications come from an authorized Fraser Health email address. All authorized Fraser Health email addresses end in @fraserhealth.ca
  • Be cautious of unexpected messages, particularly those requesting money or sensitive information.
  • Look for inconsistencies in the recruiter’s profile, job posting, email address or message.

Recruitment at Fraser Health

Fraser Health uses several channels to identify and connect with potential candidates, including LinkedIn, Indeed and other professional networks. Recruiters may contact candidates directly when their skills and experience align with current or upcoming opportunities.

Candidates should always verify unexpected outreach and use official Fraser Health recruitment channels before sharing any personal information or taking further action.

If you are selected for a role discussed with you during the recruitment process, Fraser Health will only contact you through our official recruitment channels. Any required personal information will then be collected securely through our designated onboarding portal. Candidates will never be asked to provide money, pay fees or purchase equipment.

Helpful tips

  • Remember that scammers may use convincing profiles, branding and job details. If something feels unusual, take time to verify it before responding.
  • Never share passwords, banking information or other sensitive information through an unverified channel.
  • Do not rely only on links or contact details provided in the message. When in doubt, use the official website or contact the Fraser Health recruitment team (recruitment@fraserhealth.ca) directly if you have concerns.
  • Be sure to research all job postings carefully. Verify that the job exists and visit our official careers website (careers.fraserhealth.ca) and click ‘Search Jobs’.
