“I feel proud to be part of an organization that celebrates, encourages and supports their employees in positives ways.
Fraser Health’s COVID-19 Deployment team has given me the opportunity to improve my knowledge and skills, enhancing the way I practice. I’ve also learned to become flexible and can quickly adapt to the ever changing and sometimes challenging environment in health care. Knowing [our team] had a significant role in the facility’s recovery of a COVID-19 outbreak brings me an immense feeling of satisfaction and joy. For that I am grateful.
The most important things I practice daily to stay mentally healthy and well are reflection and gratitude. Reflection helps me to improve and gratitude gives me perspective. On my days off I enjoy family time, cooking, gardening, walking my dogs, volunteering, fundraising, yoga and bird watching in local parks. Working in so many complex care environments inspired me to join the ‘Walk For Alzheimers’ in May where my daughter and I raised over $900 for this important cause.”
