We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Community Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health & Substance Use Department based out of Surrey, BC.

Build on your education and experience as you:

  • Review relevant clinical information from the client’s case manager and clinical record.
  • In consultation with the Coordinator and Manager, reviewing the services of the contracted rehabilitation programs, identifying strengths and areas which need improvement, and if necessary recommending corrective action.
  • Consult the team members to determine treatment priorities and goals.
  • Provide individual treatment to restore, develop or maintain occupational performance/functional responsibilities.
  • Represent the mental health centre on Fraser Health and local committees for the development of rehabilitation policy, programme planning and standards.
  • Provide the necessary referral information regarding the client’s skills, limitations and goals.

To join the organization we require you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupation Therapy
  • Two years' recent related experience working in a mental health setting
  • Current registration as a practicing member of the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)
  • Eligibility for membership in the British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists (BCSOT) and/or the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
