As the Executive Director, Department of Evaluation & Research Services you will provide leadership for the strategic planning of research across Fraser Health.

You will ensure the effective and efficient management of the ethical review process that complies fully with the:

  • Canadian Institutes of Health Research,
  • Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council
  • Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council
  • Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans and other applicable international, federal and provincial legislation.

Your responsibilities would also include:

  • Providing regulatory support to the Vice President, Medicine;
  • Developing an infrastructure to support Fraser Health research activities, including the Fraser Health Research Ethics Board;
  • Complying with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Overseeing industry, government and academic institution sponsored research agreements;
  • Maintaining budget and long term financial research planning;

To be successful we are looking for you to have:

  • Master's Degree in Health Science or Health Administration.
  • Ten (10) years' experience in a managerial capacity,
  • Three (3) years’ experience with regulations governing clinical research in Canada.
  • Deep understanding of applicable regulations and legislation.
  • Proven knowledge of research methodology, practices, and techniques.
