Bring your demonstrated planning and collaboration skills to this exciting opportunity as an Evaluation Specialist. In this position you will provide consultation in the evaluation of program design and delivery of Population and Public Health (PPH) services. Bring your experience in research methods to support outcome measures. Review related research and links evidence to the evaluation process. Acts as a Principal Investigator for sponsored research awards, manages designated research budgets and resources and prepares grant applications for approval.

Position Highlights:

Bring your knowledge of health research methodology, principles and procedures to the role in Population & Public Health working in the Population Health Observatory.

Do you have knowledge of program logic models and experience in impact analysis? These skills along with your ability to use advanced microcomputer software and use quantitative and qualitative data analysis software will make you successful for this role.

In this key role you will:

  • Provides consultation to program leadership in research PPH services in Fraser Health.
  • Leads planning, research, evaluation, and outcome measurement. Works collaboratively with program Managers and teams. Works with existing and external data sources, as well as, develops new collection processes.
  • Designs a practical evaluation model that integrates, self-assessment and program evaluation.
  • Works in collaboration with other members to make evidence-based recommendations regarding potential changes to programs, delivery of care and impacts on services and staff resources.
  • Conducts evaluation and research projects through various methods.
  • Facilitates the development, implementation and maintenance of an ongoing evaluation process.
  • Provides clearly written interpretive reports based on evaluation analysis.
  • Attends meetings on behalf of the Manager to offer support, mentorship and expertise to others undertaking evaluation processes.
  • Develops and prepares research proposals and associated grant applications; interacts with funding agencies to identify and secure grant funding.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on standard methodologies related to program evaluation, assessment, study design, and research methodologies.
  • Represents FH on internal and external industry and provincial committees.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in a health science, social science or related discipline with coursework in research methodologies, statistical analysis and evaluative research.
  • Five years’ experience in related research/evaluation/decision support in public health, community health programs, acute care or other health services.
  • Experience with project management, program planning and evaluation.

This full time position is based at our Central City offices in Surrey, BC, with access to rapid transit, shopping, restaurants, on-site gym and other amenities.
