As a Manager, Pharmacy Services you will utilize your experience and vision as you develop goals and service objectives for your area of responsibility supporting our strategic objectives.

Build on your education and career experience as you:

  • Provide leadership for a team consisting of Clinical Coordinators, Clinical Supervisors, Clinical Pharmacy Specialists and Pharmacists.
  • Be responsible for the transition of clinical areas into new opportunities as part of the Clinical & Systems Transformation Project.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the planning and development of a pharmacy model that will optimize desired patient care outcomes and pharmacy operations.
  • Manage and develop annual operating and capital budget for assigned portfolio/area.
  • Monitor activities and ensure expenditures are within approved budgets. You may have to perform corrective action, as required.
  • You will identify efficiencies and promotes optimal use of available resources, while recommending current/future program requirements to the Director, Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services.

Our team delivers integrated pharmaceutical care, services and programs across the following organizations:

  • Fraser Health (FH)
  • Providence Health Care (PHC)
  • Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA)
  • Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)

We provide service to our patient population in 10 functional portfolio groupings across the four organizations covering the Metro Vancouver area. These areas include the following:

  • Residential Care,
  • Community Based Pharmacy Programs,
  • Professional Practice and Education Programs,
  • Medication Safety, Information Systems and Technology,
  • Medication Use Management, Business Support, Pharmaceutical Purchasing,
  • Pharmaceutical Production,
  • Drug Distribution Systems.

Are you motivated to join our team? We will be looking for you to have the following:

  • Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
  • Completion of an accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program
  • Master's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Health Administration and/or related discipline or a Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
  • Seven (7) years' recent related pharmacy experience with clinical and/or drug distribution services
  • Two (2) years' experience in a supervisory/leadership role

This Regular Full Time opportunity is based at BC Women's & Children's Hospital in Vancouver.
