Why this role is important?

We are seeking talented colleagues for our Project Support Manager roles who are passionate about leadership, innovation and project management. You will bring your strengths in project management services, in the area of strategic business systems planning and delivery.

You will hone a broad set of skills by:

  • Leading a variety of enterprise-wide projects and organizational initiatives that vary in degrees of complexity.
  • Developing business cases needed for project funding from Fraser Health’s governance body.
  • Providing leadership and mentoring in applying our new  Project Management Lifecycle to the teams you lead as you manage projects.
  • Being a member of IM PMO while having accountability to the Information Management delivery organization of FH.

You will have an opportunity to deliver portfolio projects that:

  • Transform the systems, processes, and applications used by care providers and administrative support staff needed to meet FH's objective of providing the best health care possible.
  • Improve clinical, patient, and community care outcomes.
  • Improve on the non-clinical systems, services, and capabilities needed to support complex health care organization.

What you'll need?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or Health Information Science.
  • Seven (7) years' recent, related experience with contemporary project management practice including three (3) years' experience as a project manager within a large complex environment.

You will also have a proven track record of successful project delivery and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain key relationships needed to obtain the support and dedication from partners of those projects. In addition, you will possess excellent written and oral communications skills, and be comfortable communicating complex concepts to management, technical, and non-technical staff appropriately, for those listeners. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.

We will give preference to those that have:

  • Experience working in Healthcare Industry.
  • Change Management experience and/or a certification (IE. PROSCI) in this discipline.
  • Experience OR certification in Prince2, IIBA (or other industry recognized PM or Business Analysis designation or standard).
