Position Highlights

Bring your skills in project management, stakeholder engagement and change management to this key role, leading planning, implementation and evaluation of sustainable clinical operations initiatives for Fraser Health Aboriginal Primary Care in collaboration with First Nation Health Authority, First Nation, Metis, and other Aboriginal partners throughout the Fraser-Salish region. Specifically, provide leadership to the Indigenous Primary Health and Wellness Home project team through all project phases: workflow, technical, clinical design, build, training and go-live.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Coordinate development of Aboriginal primary care projects in collaboration with First Nation Health Authority by assessing and identifying clinical and user needs in consultation with the program leads and clinical experts;
  • Coordinate the review of clinical needs, equipment, products, sharing of information and systems ensuring detailed specifications and ongoing clinic operations.
  • Lead, plan, develop, implement/evaluate new or redesigned clinical Aboriginal primary care services/programs to support care improvement priorities while ensuring alignment with operational requirements and provincial mandates;
  • Incorporate current evidence-based integrated clinical practice, with change and/or project management methodologies in the new or redesign of existing clinical programs to transform service delivery, culture and system structure prioritizing a person-centred experience of care that is holistic, integrated, coordinated, accessible – and where diversity, spirit, and culture are respected.;
  • Facilitate consensus with stakeholders and manage project resources including project budgets and expenditures and site agreements; identifies, negotiates and/or resolves issues to ensure new/redesigned clinical programs are implemented and maintained.
  • Contribute to the overall project teams and establish good working relationships with team members, First Nation, Metis, and other Aboriginal community partners.

Your qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health Science and/or other relevant clinical discipline, and seven years’ recent related clinical experience in a health care environment relevant to the designated initiative including five years’ experience responsible for managing and leading program development and/or quality improvement initiatives/projects, and two years’ experience in a supervisory role in a large complex organization.  Preferred candidates have recent experience in a clinical operation leadership role within a clinical area or program. You will also require a valid BC Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.

This is a permanent full-time role located at Kla-how-eya Primary Care Clinic based in Surrey, BC.
