LMFM is seeking a dynamic Executive Director (ED) to lead the integrated Facilities Maintenance and Operations (FMO) service line for Fraser Health, Providence Health Care, Provincial Health Services Authority and liaising with Vancouver Coastal Health. Your diverse talent, experience and real passion for crafting a culture and environment for innovation and change will be critical for managing risk, adding value, and providing superior service to LMFM’s community of customers. Your understanding and the ability to improve services, efficiencies and stewardship of physical assets in a rare and complex environment is also critical to the role. You will have the ability to deal with political, structural, policy, financial and process challenges in a team-based and collaborative manner.

Lead your director teams and work closely with senior executive peers and customers as part of an integrated senior leadership team, delivering on LMFM’s mission, vision and key client outcomes, in 60 facilities across the Lower Mainland and Coasts of British Columbia. Support the clinical mission of the Health Organizations and bring a fresh operational perspective in order to increase efficiency, extend the life of public assets, manage risk, increase asset reliability and provide superior services to our community of customers and partners.

Are you keen to join our team? If so, we will be looking for you to have:

  • a Master’s degree and professional designation in a relevant discipline;
  • 15 years of leadership experience in a large, unionized, multi-site facilities management organization preferably in Canadian health care;
  • managed successfully all aspects of maintenance & operations and capital projects (cyclical renewal & replacement, deferred maintenance) of all building and infrastructure systems, equipment and components ideally within the healthcare industry, but other complex facilities experience may also be considered; and
  • a consistent track record of senior management and leadership is a key requirement for this position.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
