Client Partner, Talent Acquisition and Onboarding - Physicians

Who are White Rock locals? Many business, finance and health care professionals are proud to call White Rock home. To introduce you to one local, we reached out to Domenique, Client Partner in Talent Acquisition and Onboarding (TAO) and asked her to share a bit about her professional growth.

Domenique Then

Domenique joined Fraser Health first as a co-op student in 2011. “Little did I know, my co-op experience would introduce me to a mentor who would take me under her wing, and that I would ultimately find a long-term career in health care.”

After graduating university in 2012 and taking time to travel, she took a temporary role as a Recruitment Assistant. That temporary soon became permanent and she was set to begin her professional path, recruiting health care professionals and supporting the Fraser Health family.

“After thoroughly enjoying the recruitment experience, it was time for me to take a step out of familiar territory and test the waters in labour relations. In 2014, I joined the HR Consulting Services team at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock B.C. Here I learned about collective agreements and union partnerships. The experience was great and I had the opportunity to work minutes from home, but it was not before long I recognized that my passion remained in recruiting and I took a position back with TAO. From that moment, my career path started to progress quickly; from an Associate in 2016/17, to Representative in 2018/19, and now, a Client Partner since 2019, following my passions propelled me forward in my career.

Domenique Now

I feel extremely fortunate to work for an organization that allows me and has allowed me to explore different departments and a variety of portfolios. From Labour Relations to TAO department, to Nursing, Facilities, Pharmacy, Management, and now medical staff portfolios, I am thankful to have had so many experiences and connect with so many different professionals. Every portfolio is interesting and faces their own set of challenges. Through these experiences, I have been able to build my professional toolkit and share my knowledge with new team members and partners across the organization.

The saying goes, ‘time flies when you’re having fun’. When I look back on my time with Fraser Health, it has been so much fun that I often cannot believe 10 years has gone by! I have met many wonderful people and learned so much along the way. I look forward to the years I have ahead of me with Fraser Health, and for all the new and exciting career and learning opportunities that come my way.”
