|Bring your demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills and comprehensive knowledge of healthcare delivery systems to a role where you can really make a difference as you prioritize and coordinate the appropriate placement of patients requiring cardiac intervention within Royal Columbian Hospital and throughout Fraser Health.
In direct collaboration with Interventional Cardiologists, lead the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of a cardiovascular waitlist management system and database to prioritize and facilitate patient placement.
• Establish systems to advise/notify cardiologists and referring physicians of patient health status to facilitate completion of procedures within wait-time guidelines.
• Provide patient/family centered support and education while acting as the key liaison for patients and medical staff.
• Ensure the integrated tracking and reporting of statistics related to quality indicators, outcomes, program effectiveness and quality improvement.
• Develop policies and procedures appropriate to various areas such as patient preparation, efficient transfer of patient cases, tracking of complications, and development of appropriate avenues for follow-up.

As the successful candidate, you have a Bachelor’s Degree in a health discipline such as nursing, cardio-technology, perfusion, health administration, or related clinical discipline, and a minimum of five years’ recent, related cardiac experience in a complex tertiary care acute environment. Your experience also includes experience in research, patient registry databases, report writing, quality improvement measurement and program development.
